Erin J Coholan identifies a versatile multimedia artist. Born with an innate sense of curiosity and a passion for self-expression, Erin obtains a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Image Arts from The Toronto Metropolitan University.

As a photographer, filmmaker, painter, and writer, Erin's artistic endeavors span across various mediums, creating a rich tapestry of work that reflects her diverse interests. Her style, characterized as both documentary and carefully curated fine art, showcases a unique blend of authenticity and thoughtful composition.

A firm believer in the power of experimentation and exploration, Erin's artistic roots trace back to her early years, where a camcorder and disposable cameras became the tools of her exploration. Through personal projects and community involvement, Erin has consistently nurtured her passion with a lifelong commitment to creativity.

Erin infuses her work with vibrant colors, intuitive self-expression, and the transformative qualities of natural light. Regardless of the medium, her creations consistently feature subtle narratives, bold visuals, and honest storytelling.

She draws inspiration from a variety of sources, with travel, feminism, and film serving as prominent influences. Her work has been featured in platforms such as Ryerson Artspace, Maximum Exposure Magazine, Selin Magazine, rrampt magazine, MOB JOURNAL, and has been showcased at Trinity Square Video.

Professionally, Erin has worked in arts programming, art direction, and curation. With a strong passion for youth-focused programming, she believes in pushing forward accessibility within the arts and actively contributing to fostering an inclusive and vibrant community.
